Enterprise one to Beam up

_201815_startrek_head300
I would never have imagined growing up, saying those words, and it mean something.

So without any further delay, - Enga.. ( ok, that's going a bit far )..

MeBeam is opening its network to the public, with a vast array of back end services, including dedicated servers, private networks, and co-location services.

Some of our more exotic services will include, flash to SIP telephony, 3G video gateways, Web to Polycom transcoding, and of course, high end video conferencing.

For now, however, I am releasing a personal MeBeam server that you can run on your company intranet or private network.

Unlike, other Flash server technologies, there is no need to download any additional components or files; simply download the following link to your desktop and then run it.

hello

eSet NOD32 is calling out meserve.exe as "Probably unknown NewHeur_PE virus". Connection terminated - quarantined. The NewHeur_PE virus: You might want to check with either SBS&D or NOD32 - they both recognize a worm pattern in your executable thru heuristics before it downloads, and quarantined it won't run, and unless you get rid of the pattern (probably via encryption of the exe, just re-encrypt), I will not un-do the quarantine and will not run it.

If it is just flash, why can't we have it in a real flash file instead of a crappy .exe?! I'm on Linux and I'm not alone... I guess there are also a lot of people on Mac...

MeServe is an application you run as a server.

It does not run in a web page, it's

similair to a web server, but geared

for live video and communications.

I have meserve.exe in my windows XP and i run ok.
Now to access web page a use?

Thank You

Gerge

the file will not download, I have tried on different pc's and different friends have tried too, with no success, it always falls short of the claimed 792kb.

I'm on a Mac, so I assume this won't work? Can I somehow install this on my domain hosted by my ISP?

I just tried to download and run the MeBeam Server but im unable to do so.

The Errormessage says: "... is not WIN32 Application"

Even if I try to download it on a Maschine without any Antivirus Software I recieve this message.

Don't found link http://www.mebeam.com/uploads/main/meserve.exe
error, 270kb download only

Dude. Unless you can provide a working download or take the link away people aint really gonna have much faith in this, myself included. The fact that I get downloads of varying sizes each time I try to download the file indicates something seriously amiss.

OK

seems to download ok, haven;t tried it yet though

Umm, why does every request for usage and configuration information go unanswered?

Is it too much trouble to release the basic server and client usage detais? I've see this trend on this blog and on the MeBeam forum.

Post a link please, very interested, just put off by the lack of basic support.
