As I am not a Linux user, I have been regretfully unaware that MeBeam does not actually run on all Linux machines, as it does on Windows.
With the release of Flash player 10, which is available for Linux, Mac, as well as Windows, MeBeam should now be available using Linux.
Download and open the following link, to upgrade to Linux Flash 10
Download AddFlashPlugin.sh
You may need to restart your computer after the install

This assumes the user has an "RPM" based linux system, which is not the case with Debian, Ubuntu, Xandros, Slackware etc. etc.
For debian based systems (such as ubuntu), one might consider the "flashplugin-nonfree" package..

why cant i open the mebeam room and it says stop being a jerk. does it mean that the operator doesnt allow me to enter the room? thanks

I can not access mebeam coz each time I enter a room, it tells me to "sto being a jerk" and i don't know what that is supposed to mean. what should I do to be able to access mebeam once more?

I can't get it to work either. It could be i'm running 64bit fedora - using 32 bit wrapped flash. The 64bit flash has other issues that don't seem to work full yet.
